Well, I’ve made it to the 3rd week of my prayer challenge. Reflecting on the past week, I am working toward building a better habit in my prayer life. Complete transparency, I have not met all my goals. I did not make a point to schedule a time each day to pray about renewing my mind, so I didn’t accomplish that goal of praying daily about it. But I did pray about it several times during the week and did have an awareness. I remembered that earlier this year I had chosen trust as my word for 2020. I realized that one of the contributing factors to the struggles with my prayer life is my lack of trusting God. Things bother me when I let myself worry about it rather than give it to God in prayer. Remembering that trust is my word for 2020, I believe is God renewing my mind and helping me be transformed in my prayer life.
That brings us to this week’s prayer prompt. For the next week, I want to focus on love. Specifically I want to pray that I can do better to love how Christ taught me to love. My prayer this week is that I can follow Christ’s lead in how to love others.
