A few days ago I expressed my thanks for my brother and sister-in-law, so today I want to talk about the products of their union. They raised three exceptional kids that call me “Aunt Nicki” and have added a fourth through marriage. All four of the kids hold a special place in my heart.
My nephew, Caleb made me an aunt the first time. He was born before I was a mother, so I got my first experiences of really taking care of a baby with him. Being the oldest grandchild of my parents, he has taken on the role of “big brother” for my kids as well as his own two sisters. He loves and appreciates his family and treasures his heritage. He is a married man now and is following in his father’s footsteps of being an attentive and loving husband. He chose a sweet and kind young lady, Lexie to be his wife. Lexie’s a joy to be around. I’m happy she’s a part of the family and I look forward to more time with her.
Courtney, my oldest niece, brings me lots of fun. Her bright and infectious laugh is contagious. She walks into a room and brings a smile to my face. She’s my partner in crime when it comes to pranks. I can always count on her for a good laugh. But, Courtney’s more than just her humor. She’s got a huge heart. She is loyal, protective, and fearless when it comes to those she loves. I’m very thankful to have her in my corner because I know she will be there until the end.
My youngest niece, Chloe Grace balances out the trio. She has a sweetness that overflows and a smile that lights up the room. She has a talent for making you feel like you’re the most special person in her world. She never hesitates to make me feel special and loved, and always has time for me no matter what she’s doing. Chloe Grace brings joy to others with her kind heart and loving nature. She exemplifies the motto “kindness is free, sprinkle that stuff everywhere”.
I’m so thankful for these kids. They love their family and they love the Lord. They make being an aunt one of my biggest blessings. I’m so thankful God blessed me with these four people. They make my life richer. So, today I give thanks for my nephew and nieces.
“But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children” Psalms 103:17
Until next time,
