I have contemplated for years about starting a blog or writing a book, but my fear always held me back. I’ve continued to tell myself that ‘I don’t know enough’ or ‘I don’t have enough experience’ or ‘why would people listen to me’ and in my younger years ‘Im too young to have anything to say that would matter’ and my latest insecure thoughts ‘, what will they think about me having a blog’ and “everyone knows what happened and you know what they think about you now’. Then this morning during my morning devotional, I read about Moses telling God he couldn’t speak to the Israelites.
“But Moses said to the Lord, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.”
Exodus 4:10
Moses felt insecure and lacking in being able to lead the Israelites, but God continued to show Moses, he was able because God was with him. And yet again, Moses still struggled.
When reading about how Moses struggled, it made me aware, I’ve done the same thing for years. God has blessed me with talents and abilities and yet I continue to say ‘Im not good enough’. But God has patiently waited and encouraged me to start writing.
So I decided I will do it. But what to write – a book, a blog, a devotional study book, a bible class curriculum? Well I made the decision to do a blog that’s a compilation of my devotional thoughts, my bible lessons, and thoughts from journal entries. Basically it’s my two cents, or better yet, my Nichols worth.
So here we go! I am taking the plunge. I hope you enjoy reading.
Lots of love to you and yours
